“MANIA GRANDIOSA. From Tallinn to Paris”

“MANIA GRANDIOSA” is a fashion-themed essay collection, inspired by the world’s longest fashion runway held in the summer of 2023. The five-day runway, created for ten models, began in Tallinn and extended all the way to the village of Paris in Lääne-Viru County. The book, grown out of the project, explores various aspects of contemporary fashion through the perspectives of six different writers and seeks ways to examine fashion as a medium beyond the usual commercial approach. It is one of the first Estonian-language publications to critically analyze fashion along with the associated achievement culture and problematic areas. All texts in the book are also translated into English, making it effectively bilingual.
