Kai Lobjakas “Klassikud: Lea Walter” (“Classics: Lea Walter”)

Lea Walter is a phenomenon in Estonian textile art who cannot be confused with anyone else. She is a determined artist with a bold handwriting who created her own fresh and striking world in Estonian textile art, incorporating a variety of weaving techniques and types of objects. Walter has worked in the rational production sphere, initially as an artist and later as an artistic director at a art products cooperative, but she gained the greatest recognition through her unique creations. Among her most notable works are her woven rugs.
