The richly illustrated book presents readers with an extensive and versatile selection of the heritage of photographic history in the possession of various museums and private collectors. In addition to the historical material, the book contains the documentation of the exhibition held in the Tartu Art Museum and reproductions of the works of three contemporary artists who thematized precisely the destroyed and lost cultural heritage.
