“Short Term Eternity”

“Short Term Eternity” brings together the artists Gordon Matta-Clark (1943–1978, USA) and Anu Vahtra (1982, Estonia), who are united by similar creative interests and strategies and separated by different places and times of activity. The aim of the book is not simply to draw parallels between these works, but to describe the diffusion of ideas and practices in the art world in a way that discards conventional hierarchical thought models.

The book accompanies the exhibition “Gordon Matta-Clark: Anarchitek” organized in cooperation with the Bronx Art Museum and the Kumu Art Museum. Anu Vahtra: through removal to the whole” at the Kumu Art Museum, February 22 – June 8, 2019, curated by Sergio Bessa, Jessamyn Fiore and Anu Allas.
