The story began in the second half of the 1990s, led by Reiu Tüür, when the art department of the former Sütevaka Gymnasium cultivated graphic art, but it did not fit into the scope of the alternative movements and other radical initiatives of the time. There was a need for an outlet for graphic art.

The initiating idea of the graphic-centric festival Pärnu IN Graafika in the late 1990s was to promote the latest achievements of printmaking art in the “periphery.”

This book provides a comprehensive overview of the festival’s events between 1998 and 2009, through the works of various authors.
