„Normandia maalijad” (“The Painters of Normandy”)

The catalogue accompanying the exhibition „Normandia maalijad” (“The Painters of Normandy”) at the Kumu Art Museum (16.10.2009–10.01.2010) contains reproductions of works by many world-renowned and influential artists, such as E. Boudin, T. Géricault, G. Courbet, J. B. C. Corot, C. Monet, E. Vuillard, and others.

Normandy holds a significant place in the history of modern art – it was from there that France’s best landscape painters drew inspiration, and the paintings created in those places give birth to Impressionism right before the viewer’s eyes.
