Description

The partially black-and-white and partially coloured print brings together for the first time in the Estonian context the material known in the Western cultural space as the so-called under the category of alternative comics, and the more artistically complicated ones (longer in terms of narrative, more complex in terms of graphic expression) are also called “graphic novels” in Europe and the United States.

Between the covers of the book is a “traveling exhibition”, which was exhibited for the first time in July 2006 in the basement gallery of the Tartu City Library. A newly published comic book summarizes the more than half-year journey of the traveling exhibition through Estonia.

The exhibition was attended by: Edvin Aedma, Kristel Maamägi, Marianne Männi, Lilli-Krõõt Repnau, Martin Rästa, Elina Sildre, Joonas Sildre, Veiko Tammjärv, Paco Ulman and group © EFC.

The collection has been compiled by art researcher Andreas Trossek and artist/designer Joonas Sildre.
