Marge Monko, Rebeka Põldsam “Right/Wrong? / Õige/Vale?”

Marge Monko „Õige / Vale” (“Right / Wrong”) – the first publication in the artist book series Potato Books, published by Lugemik in collaboration with the Centre for Contemporary Art, Estonia. In her new work, Monko continues her exploration of female representations and their meanings in the 20th century. „Õige / Vale” (“Right / Wrong”) is based on Helena Vojáčková’s book „Liikumine – naise ilu ja tervise pant” (“Movement – The Bond of a Woman’s Beauty and Health”) (1967), which was one of many such works in the Soviet reading material. The Potato Books series, created in collaboration with Lugemik and the Centre for Contemporary Art, Estonia, will feature works by Estonian artists, with an introductory essay accompanying each book. The series editor and author of the texts is Rebeka Põldsam.
