Helen Adamson “Klassikud: Mall Tomberg” (“Classics: Mall Tomberg”)

Mall Tomberg is an artist who stands out in the local textile art scene as a powerful and versatile creator. Over nearly forty years, her working range has extended from the creation of modern woven garments and large woven rugs to a long career in education. In the 1960s, she was heavily involved in the weaving technique. As an artist, she distinguishes herself during her most creatively active and prolific period primarily as an inquisitive and innovative creator who plays with textures, balancing restraint with experimentation. When creating woven rugs, she often approaches her work playfully, being both versatile and expressive. This catalog accompanies the exhibition of the same name.
