“Form and construction in interior architecture”

“Form and Structure in Interior Architecture”, volume of the “Fundamentals of Interior Architecture” series, explores the ways in which a building’s structural design influences interior design. The book also discusses physical factors such as light and orientation, building context and sustainability. In their section, methods of interpretation, evaluation and use are proposed and their impact on interior architecture and building remodeling is analysed.

“Fundamentals of Interior Architecture” is a book series that introduces interior architecture and its underlying principles. The main theories are complemented by detailed analyzes of modern interior designs, which make the published book an invaluable handbook for both interior architecture and architecture students, as well as civil engineers and real estate developers, and all readers who are interested in this field. The volume of the series “Context + environment” was published in Estonian in 2016.

Graeme Brooker is Head of Interior Architecture at the Royal College of Art, Sally Stone is a Lecturer and Program Manager at Manchester University of Architecture.
