Why a lithograph portfolio?

The lithograph portfolio published by the Estonian Lithography Centre features 11 renowned contemporary Estonian artists, each with their own message and perspective on love. The medium chosen for this collection has been around for over two hundred years. Contemporary art cast in a classical medium creates a sense of confidence for the viewer. We hope that at least one of the sixty-five love portfolios will cross the fourth millennium’s timeline, and that today’s artists will continue to address the viewer, expanding the vast and all-encompassing theme of love with interpretations specific to 2008.
