Description

“Normal Noughts” is a collection of articles, the topic of which is the artistic life of Estonia in the 2000s. Through the researches of various authors, a picture emerges of the artistic life of the decade, somewhat calmed down compared to the 1990s, but still full of possibilities and excitement, in many ways still unexplored and unwritten.

Anu Allas, Maarin Ektermann, Eero Epner, Indrek Grigor, Mari-Liis Jakobson, Kaarin Kivirähk, Epp Lankots, Anneli Porri, Rebeka Põldsam, Tõnis Saarts, Maria-Kristiina Soomre and Margus Tamm deal with topics such as the society of the 2000s, art generations, own initiatives, institutionalization, art life outside Tallinn, architecture, art market, gender perspective and art criticism.

”Normal Noughts” continues the KKEK book series, where “The Lost Eighties” and “Arrogant Nineties” have previously been published. The book is published in separate volumes in Estonian and English and was designed by Jaan Evart.
