Catalogue “Anna-Stina Treumund”

Anna-Stina Treumund (1982–2017) was a photo artist who developed the local feminist movement and used her works to explore gender identity, interpersonal relationships and BDSM practices. She used photography for self-analysis and was often her own model.

This is the artist’s first personal catalogue, which brings together the best of Treumund’s photo, video and installation creations across ten years, from his studies at Tartu Higher School of Art to his last solo project “M’i märg unægägu” in Tartu Art Museum (Tartmus). The print consists of two interconnected, but also separate, parts – Treumund’s artwork is presented as a queer-erotic photo album, accompanied by a modest text booklet. In the latter, you can find a longer interview with the artist and a comprehensive text by Airi Triisberg about the queer-feminist aspects of her work. The print is in Estonian and English.
