Bruno Latour “Where to land? How to navigate politics”

One of the most recent books by the French anthropologist and science writer Bruno Latour (1947), “Where to Land?” (first edition, 2017), is his vision of a new political orientation necessary for understanding the modern world and what is happening in it. He proposes the hypothesis that the politics of the last fifty years can only be understood in terms of climate change and its denial: “Without the idea that we have entered a New Climate Regime, neither the explosion of inequality, nor the scale of deregulation, the critique of globalisation, or above all the paniced desire to find the good old defence of the nation-state – which is rather misleadingly called ‘the rise of populism’ – can be understood.”
